Position within the Organization:

The primary role of the MAC Officer is to strengthen market access & connectivity for vegetable products produced; networking with market players (traders, local collectors, re-sellers, or even consumers). This position reports directly to the Team Leader and works closely with the Life Skill & Inclusion Officer and Field Staff to work on access to fresh vegetable products, negotiating with local traders, networking with collectors and local traders, and market information systems.

General Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement activities related to market access, connectivity, and networking.
  • Align access and channel needs to the market with the availability of: types, volumes (quantity), quality, and timing/calendar of youth products.
  • Use and apply all relevant market outreach practices (good marketing & sales practices) to ensure youth receive fair remuneration for their products.
  • Collect data and information through direct observation, interviews, field visits/discussions, the modular formats provided by the project team, and through Data Apps according to the needs of the Foundation/project in relation to the market situation & supply chain.
  • Maintain commodity records on prices, volumes, quality, and calendars.
  • Report market situations to the Team Leader.
  • Submit evidence, documents, and reports of all activities to the TL, Data, and Admin team.
  • Work efficiently under direct supervision and be comfortable working daily with minimal oversight in a remote work setting.
  • Ensure compliance with all existing YBTS systems and procedures.
Requirements, Qualifications, and Skill Set:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of experience in supply chains, marketing, and networking.
  • Experience in conducting market research and studies.
  • Experience working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Computer skills (Word, Spreadsheet, PowerPoint, etc.) and web/internet literacy.
  • Language: Indonesian; English is a plus.
  • Willing to be stationed in YBTS work areas across Indonesia.
